Terms and Conditions – eNIF Portugal

1. Purpose and Scope

These Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) establish the legal framework governing the use of the website https://enifportugal.com and all services provided by eNIF Portugal (“Company”), in accordance with applicable Portuguese and European Union law.
They define the conditions of access and use by the user (“User”) of the services offered through the platform.

Accessing, registering, or using the website implies full and unconditional acceptance of these T&Cs.
By registering via the online form, the User confirms acceptance by checking the box:

“I acknowledge that I have read and accepted the Terms and Conditions.”

If the User does not agree with these terms, they must refrain from using the services.
eNIF Portugal reserves the right to modify these T&Cs at any time, with changes taking effect immediately upon publication on the website.

3. Services

3.1 NIF Application Service

By agreeing to these terms, the User authorizes eNIF Portugal to act as their representative for the purpose of applying for a Número de Identificação Fiscal (NIF) — the Portuguese tax identification number — with the Autoridade Tributária e Aduaneira (Portuguese Tax and Customs Authority).

Scope of Service Includes:

  • Preparing and submitting the NIF application on behalf of the User.
  • Acting as a local fiscal representative for non-EU residents, or where required by the Tax Authority.
  • Handling communications with the Portuguese Tax Authority related to the NIF issuance.

Service Fee: €80 – €100
If a local tax representative is required, eNIF Portugal will provide representation free of charge for the first 6 months.

User Declaration:
By accepting these T&Cs, the User confirms that:

  • They have never been issued a Portuguese NIF or any equivalent tax identification number elsewhere.
  • They have not authorized any third party to apply for a NIF on their behalf.
  • All information provided is true and accurate.

Providing false or misleading information may result in termination of service, cancellation of the application, and possible legal liability under Portuguese tax law.

Users must notify eNIF Portugal in writing of any changes in their NIF status or inaccuracies in the information provided.

3.1.1 Refund Policy

A full refund will be issued to the same payment method if eNIF Portugal fails to deliver the NIF within the promised processing time after receiving all required documents.
Refunds are not applicable if the User already holds a valid NIF or if the order has been processed and submitted to the Tax Authority.

3.2 Tax Representation Service

By selecting this service, the User authorizes eNIF Portugal to act as their Tax Representative in Portugal, both for themselves and any declared dependents.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Receiving and forwarding official correspondence from the Autoridade Tributária e Aduaneira, including access credentials and communications.
  • Ensuring compliance with fiscal obligations during the representation period.

Service Fee: €150 per year.

4. Data Protection and Privacy

All personal data collected through the website will be processed in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) e Portuguese Data Protection Law.
eNIF Portugal uses secure encryption and deletes all personal documents immediately upon completion of the NIF process, unless otherwise required by law.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including texts, graphics, logos, icons, and images, is the exclusive property of eNIF Portugal and protected under Portuguese and EU intellectual property laws.
Any reproduction or unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

6. External Links

The website may contain links to external sites. eNIF Portugal does not control or assume responsibility for the content of such third-party websites.

7. Cookies Policy

During browsing, cookies may be installed on the User’s device to improve site performance and user experience.

8. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Portuguese law.
In case of dispute, the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lisbon, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules applicable under EU law.
